Compressed air at the compressor outlet contains water (droplets or vapour) which can compromise the operation of pneumatic machines and tools. To guarantee top-quality work, the water must be eliminated from the air: with an air dryer. The dryer uses a heat exchange process to reduce the temperature of the compressed air, causing water in the air to condensate (dew point). The condensed water is then evacuated through a drain built into the dryer.
