The proven e-chain system® E2/000 has been the worldwide standard in machinery since the year 2000. Continuous improvements over many years have now been combined in the new generation E2.1 and a new standard has been set. System E3 - 3-piece E-chains®, E3.15 Series

E3 combines small pitch, smooth running, low noise, stability, easy assembly and low cost. The spring connector element replaces the pin and bore and avoids relative movement between the joints. This means virtually no wear or abrasion (cleanroom). To reduce production and assembly costs, the spring connector is on a segment of ten e-chain® links.

Long travels are always demanding for an e-chain system®. For much of the travel, the e-chain® must run on the lower run or on glide bars. In addition the e-chain system® needs guides, in order to prevent sideways movement. In most cases this is ensured by using a guide trough. However, there are also applications where a guide trough is not desirable for space reasons, whether this is due to visual or spatial requirements. In order to meet this need, igus® developed the autoglide system in 1995. autoglide is a self-aligning e-chain®, which can dispense with guide troughs for up to 80m travel.

System T3 - t-shaped band E-chains®, T3.29 Series
IGUS
The T3 system combines low noise operation, simple assembly and economy. The side bands, which snap together, replace a conventional pin/bore connection and prevent relative movements between the joints giving extremely low wear. This means virtually no wear or abrasion (cleanroom). The geometrical shape of the t-band, means that hardly any polygon effect is generated in operation. The t-band therefore rolls in a very smooth arc, giving extremely low vibration and noise. In order to reduce the manufacturing and installation costs, the t-band is made in a segment of 8 links (similar to the igus® E3 system). Due to its low mass, the igus® t-band, is suitable for applications with low fill weights and short strokes, combined with high speeds and accelerations.

Easy chain® - version "Z", Z065.3 Series

Cost-effective, easy to fill e-chains® are available in two versions. In the "E" version the cable is simply installed from the outside, and in the "Z" version from the inside. The primaryreason to choose easy chains® is to save time when fitting cables. The material, igumid NB, presents more application opportunities due to its flexibility, UL94-V2 classification and excellent cleanroom qualities. The onepiece design keeps the easy chain® very cost effective.
