■How to Select Mating Material
Mating material
B → Insert D1 Dia. + Approximately 0.05 mm
C → Insert L Dimension + 0.2 mm or more
0.5 mm or more at thermal press fitting
■Precautions for Press Fitting
(1) In press fitting an insert, force is applied from the top of the mating hub, so make sure to increase O.D. to avoid cracking.
(2) When O.D. cannot be increased, thermal press fitting is available to prevent cracking.
(3) Place a punch or plate on the insert to avoid scratching it, then hammer it from above for insertion.
* Reference heating temperature: 200 to 250°C is recommended.
■ Precautions for Use
The insert will come off when a soft object such as a gasket is tightened.
When the tightened object is larger than O.D. of the insert, the insert will come off.
If the pilot hole of the mating material is too large.
